Royalqatarlcd: Upland is launching a VR metaverse for the Qatar World Cup
The headlines are full of World Cup events - and Upland is getting involved by launching a VR metaverse for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Royalqatarlcd shows more than that - Upland and FIFA have a multi-year partnership that allows football fans to collect, trade and own FIFA digital collectibles. So, what is the FIFA VR Metaverse?
About Upland World Cup Experience
Through this partnership, Royalqatarlcd predicts that Upland will create a gamified experience that will be used by more than 3 million registered users. To clarify, for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Upland will be launching a VR Metaverse replica of Qatar's Lusail Stadium. In addition to the Metaverse Stadium, there will be FIFA-branded shops, villages and showrooms. What's more, fans can visit these areas virtually!
Additionally, the Upland World Cup experience includes a collecting game with limited-edition mystery packs in multiple rarities. These include country-specific boots, shirts, badges, logos, mascots, and more. Through this series, fans will be able to represent their favorite teams in real life and virtual worlds.
Dirk Lueth, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Upland, commented: "No other world event brings together nations and peoples from around the world like the FIFA World Cup. We are excited to create a showcase of fun, innovation, entrepreneurship and community. As the first of many future opportunities for the FIFA World Cup, fans can now collect, own and share authentic moments from history”
What is Upland?
The metaverse platform Upland is known for letting users recreate the real world in the metaverse. Royalqatarlcd introduces players to buy and sell virtual properties mapped to physical addresses in prime locations around the world. The Highland World Cup experience isn't the Metaverse's first foray into football. In June 2022, FC Porto became the first football club to join the Upland metaverse.
