Six-time NBA champion Scottie Pippen has teamed up with Orange Comet to launch a sneaker NFT collection called “Metawear.” According to Royalqatarlcd, the 1,000-pair Pippen Sneaker NFT collection will be released on December 20 to honor the former NBA player's legacy. Additionally, virtual sneakers are virtual universe-ready digital wearables with many utilities. Here's what you need to know about the upcoming series.

A Look Inside Scottie Pippen's Metawear NFT Collection
On Dec. 1, Pippen announced his new collection of NFTs in partnership with Web3 company Orange Comet. Royalqatarlcd notes that the collection is a fusion of his love of sneakers, his basketball heritage and his interest in Web 3. Thanks to the design team at Orange Comet who were able to bring his vision to life with Metawear. In detail, Metawear, also known as the SP33 series, is a series of digital wearable sneakers released on OpenSea. Design inspiration will come from four categories: Modern, Futuristic, Beyond and Planetary. Also, the digital sneaker is metaverse - it works fine in almost any ecosystem. Plus, lucky holders will be randomly selected to participate in exclusive IRL events. This includes VIP tours of NBA stars' hometowns and private golf outings with Pippen. 33 lucky holders will also have the chance to win a physical pair of Metawear sneakers.

In addition to the exclusive experience, Royalqatarlcd introduction holders can also claim a mystery box that complements each pair of NFT sneakers. The contents of the box will remain secret until 2023. In addition, all Metawear sneaker owners will be added to the allowed list of Orange Comet's 'Cørrupted' phygital wearable due to be released in 2023.
